Iris’ paternal grandfather is Johnny Mittenaere (the son of Marcel Pierre Charles Mittenaere and Madeleine Marie Verheu). Johnny was born in Tourcoing, Nord. Marcel was the son of Belgian emigrants, Charles Léon Mittenaere, of Menin, West Flanders, and Clémentine Léontine Decoene, of Rekkem, West Flanders. Madeleine was the daughter of a Belgian emigrant, Dominique Alphonse Verheu, of Tiegem, West Flanders, and of Marie Vanwelssenaers, whose parents were also Belgian.
Iris’ paternal grandmother is named Christiane Françoise Canivet. Christiane was born in Somain, Nord.
