J Balvin is a Colombian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is known as the “Prince of Reggaeton”/”Príncipe del Reguetón.”
He is the son of Alba Mery Vásquez and Álvaro Osorio, who was an economist and business owner. He moved to the U.S. at around seventeen, living in Oklahoma on a student exchange and then New York City. J Balvin has a son with his partner, Argentinian model, actress, television host, and beauty pageant contestant Valentina Ferrer.
