Jacob Tierney is a Canadian actor, director, screenwriter, and producer. He has directed, co-developed, wrote for, and co-starred on, the show Letterkenny ; created, wrote, and directed, the show Heated Rivalry ; and directed episodes of the shows The Moodys and Shoresy . He also wrote and directed the films The Trotsky and Good Neighbours , both of which he appeared in; and co-wrote the film The Death & Life of John F. Donovan . Beginning as a child actor, he has starred on the shows Dracula: The Series , Are You Afraid of the Dark? , Watatatow , The Little Lulu Show , Princess Sissi , Big Wolf on Campus , Hey Joel , Slings and Arrows , and St. Urbain’s Horseman , and in the films PIN… , Josh and S.A.M. , The Neon Bible , Rainbow (1996), This Is My Father , You Can Thank Me Later , Poor White Trash , Blood (2004), Walk All over Me , French Immersion , Camion , and Lovesick (2016).
His mother, Terry Smiley, is a teacher, and his father, Kevin Tierney, was a well-known film producer. His sister is actress Brigid Tierney. His cousin is fashion designer, artist, activist, and writer Kim Smiley.
