Jacoby Ellsbury is an American professional baseball player. A center fielder, he played for the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB).
He is the son of Maggie and Jim Ellsbury. His father is of English and German descent. His mother is said to be a “full-blooded Navajo Native American.” She is a descendant of tribal leader Ganado Mucho. Jacoby was raised in the LDS (Mormon) church. He is married to Kelsey Hawkins, with whom he has four children.
