His roles include the films The Punisher (2004), The Great Raid , Gangster Squad , Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife , Midway (2019), and Fear the Night ; the shows Felicity , So Notorious , The Closer , The Good Wife , Person of Interest , The Mob Doctor , Gotham , The Blacklist , The Gifted , and The Enemy Within ; and works on stage.
James is the son of Anthony J. Carpinello, a former justice of the New York State Supreme Court, and Sharon E. (Kelly) Carpinello, also a former state official. James is married to actress Amy Acker , with whom he has two children.
