Her roles include the films Light Sleeper , Happiness (1998), Mumford , Songcatcher , The Anniversary Party , Orange County , Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind , Little Children , All the Light in the Sky , which she also co-wrote; She Dies Tomorrow , Dog , and Sick (2022), and the shows Frasier , Hung , Hacks , and The Idol . She has won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress, for An Inspector Calls .
She is the daughter of Janice, an administrative assistant, and William Adams, an engineer.
