Tomás’ paternal grandfather, Bartolomeu António Barreto, or Bartolomé Antonio Barretto y González in Spanish, was from Portuguese Macau; and became a naturalized Spanish citizen while in Manila, whose origins came from Mumbai and Goa, both in present-day India.
Janella’s paternal grandmother was Norah Irene Campos Chico (the daughter of Eladio Chico and Rogaciana Medrano Campos).
