Jarryd Hayne is an Australian rugby player and American professional football player. A fullback, wing, centre, and five-eighth in rugby league, he played for Parramatta Eels and Gold Coast Titans, and for Prime Minister’s XIII, City NSW, New South Wales, the Australia national team, Fiji, and NRL All Stars. In rugby union, he played for Fiji 7s (Sevens). A running back and return specialist in American football, he played for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL).
Jarryd is the son of Jodie Hayne and professional Rugby League player Manoa Thompson. His paternal great-uncle is politician Sitiveni Rabuka, who has been Prime Minister of Fiji, from 2 June, 1992 to 19 May, 1999, and again, since 24 December, 2022. His mother has said :

Jarryd is married to Amellia Bonnici, with whom he has a daughter. He is a Christian.
Jarryd’s paternal grandfather was named Manoa Tokalautawa (later Thompson).
Jarryd’s paternal grandmother was Elenoa Waqanibaravi (the daughter of Koto Waqanibaravi and Loma Sikiti).
