Jeff Bagwell is an American professional baseball player, and coach. A first baseman, he spent his entire career with the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Jeff is the son of Janice, a police officer, and Robert Bagwell, who played college and semi-professional baseball. He was raised in Killingworth, Connecticut. Jeff is married to Rachel. He has two children with his former wife Ericka. Rachel was the widow of hand surgeon Michael Glyn Brown.
Jeff’s paternal grandfather was named Bernard Edward Bagwell (the son of Patrick J. Bagwell and Nora Josephine). Bernard’s parents were Irish.
Jeff’s paternal grandmother was Helen Amelia Snow (the daughter of George Henry Snow and Mary E. Dolan).
