Jenifer is a French singer and actress. She won the first season of Star Academy France in 2002, and has also been a coach on The Voice: la plus belle voix and The Voice Kids . She starred in the film Don’t Tell Her . She has also been credited as Jenifer Bartoli.

Her father, Michel Dadouche, a “pied noir” of Sephardi Jewish origin, was born in Algeria, and moved to Marseille, France with his family. Her mother, Christine Bartoli, is from Palneca, Corsica, and is of Belgian Walloon and French descent on her own father’s side and Italian Corsican, and some Ligurian, ancestry on her own mother’s side.

Jenifer is married to Corsican restaurant owner and businessperson Ambroise Fieschi. She has a son with her former partner, singer and songwriter Yodelice/Maxim Nucci; a son with her former partner, actor Thierry Neuvic; and a son with Ambroise.

Jenifer’s paternal grandfather was Roger Dadouche (the son of Ange Dadouche and Clarice Timsit). Roger was born in Oran, Algeria. Ange was the son of Rabbi Joseph Dadouche, who was born in Benghazi, Libya, and of Rachel Amyach. Clarice was the daughter of Salomon Timsit and Messaouda Benchimann.

Jenifer’s paternal grandmother was Juliette Elkaïm (the daughter of Maklouf/René Elkaïm and Semha/Aimée Boukaya/Boekaya). Maklouf was born in Médéa, Algeria, the son of Nessim Samuel Elkaïm and Jouar “Julie” Cherki.

Jenifer’s maternal grandfather was Jean-Jacques Vreux (the son of Moïse Paulin Vreux and Marthe Georgette Margueritte). Jean-Jacques was born in Nice. The name Vreux is common in Wallonia, Belgium. Moïse was the son of Belgian parents, Jean Baptiste Vreux, from Jurbise, Hainaut, and Joséphine Clémence Henry, from Nimy, Hainaut. Marthe was born in Fécamp, Normandy, the daughter of Henry Auguste Margueritte and Angeline Marie Héloïse Nicolle.

Jenifer’s maternal grandmother was Joséphine Bartoli (the daughter of Jacques Antoine Bartoli and Antoinette Arrighi). Josephine was born in Palneca, Corisca, France.
