Jenny-May Clarkson is a New Zealand netball player. She played for Waikato Wildcats, Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Auckland Diamonds, Southern Steel, and Northern Mystics, and the New Zealand national team, of which she was also vice-captain.
She is the daughter of Patricia Myfanwy “Paddy” Davis and Te Waka Coffin. She is affiliated with the Ngāti Waiora sub-tribe of Ngāti Maniapoto. Jenny-May is married to Dean Clarkson, with whom she has two children.
Jenny-May’s paternal grandfather was Charles “Charlie” Taare Kawhena Coffin (the son of Charles Samuel Bathurst Coffin and Ngareta Waiora). Jenny-May’s great-grandfather Charles was born in Okains Bay, Christchurch City, Canterbury, the son of an American whaler from Nantucket Island, Alexander Thomas Coffin; and of Caroline Henrietta Bathurst, who came from Greenwich, England. Through her paternal line, Jenny-May is a descendant of Tristram Coffin, who was born, c. 1609, in Devon, England, and was the patriarch of the Coffin whaling family in Nantucket.
Jenny-May’s paternal grandmother was named Harata Rauputu.
