Jeremy Slater is an American screenwriter and film producer. He has created the shows The Exorcist and Moon Knight , and developed the show The Umbrella Academy ; he was also a writer on all three. He has written the film Pet (2016), and co-written the films The Lazarus Effect , Fantastic Four (2015), Death Note (2017), and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire .
Jeremy’s paternal grandfather was Urlin D. Slater (the son of Ezra Slater and Alma Agnes Salmon). Urlin was born in Missouri. Ezra was born in Missouri, the son of Douglas “Doug” Slater, whose parents were English, and of Sarah Edna McClung. Alma was born in Missouri, the daughter of Urlin Eldreth Salmon and Leota Hawk.
Jeremy’s paternal grandmother was Esther/Ester J. White (the daughter of Thomas M. White and Jewel/Julia R. Sage). Esther was born in Kansas. Thomas was born in Kansas, to Irish parents. Jeremy’s great-grandmother Julia was born in Kansas, to a father from Wales and a mother from Germany, who was named Anna.
