Jeremy Sumpter is an American actor. He starred as the title character in the film Peter Pan (2003). His roles also include the films Frailty , Local Boys (2002), The Sasquatch Gang , An American Crime , Calvin Marshall , Death and Cremation , Soul Surfer , Excision , Animal , Into the Storm (2014), The Culling , The Squeeze (2015), Billionaire Ransom , and The Legend of 5 Mile Cave ; the made-for-tv movies Murphy’s Dozen , Just a Dream , Cyber Seduction: His Secret Life , and Sisters of the Groom ; and the shows Clubhouse and Friday Night Lights .
Jeremy was raised in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, where his mother is from. He is married to Elizabeth Treadway, with whom he has a daughter.
Jeremy’s paternal grandfather was Myron Glenn Sumpter (the son of Thomas Jefferson Sumpter and Mamie May Roush). Myron was born in Minnesota. Thomas was the son of Bluford Sumpter and Mary Jane Cottrell. Jeremy’s great-grandmother Mamie was the daughter of William J. Roush and Eliza Jane Thomason.
