Jermaine Jackson II is an American actor and musician.
He is the son of Hazel Gordy and musician Jermaine Jackson. His half-brother is singer, dancer, and actor Jaafar Jackson . Jermaine is a paternal nephew of musicians and actors La Toya Jackson , Michael Jackson , and Janet Jackson , among others; and a maternal half-nephew of career music executive Kerry Gordy, singer Rockwell , musician and actress Rhonda Ross Kendrick , and musician Redfoo . Among his cousins are musicians 3T (Tariano Jackson, Taryll Jackson, and Tito Jackson), singer, songwriter, and musician Austin Brown , musician Sky Blue , singer and actress Mahogany Lox , and actress and singer Paris Jackson . His second cousin is actress Bianca Lawson .
Jermaine has a son with his wife, Asa Soltan Rahmati. Asa was born in Ahwaz, Khuzestan, Iran.
Jermaine’s paternal grandfather was Joseph Walter Jackson (the son of Samuel Joseph Jackson and Crystal Lee King). Joseph was born in Arkansas. Samuel was born in Mississippi, the son of Israel “Nero” Jackson and Emeline/Emmaline Williams. Crystal was born in Arkansas, the daughter of Samuel King and Gertrude Daniel. Jermaine’s great-great-grandfather Israel was born in Amite, Mississippi, the son of Jack/July Gayle/Milam and Gina. He eventually took on the surname Jackson, after his father. Jack was owned by a family of French Huguenot origin, the Richbourgs; he may have also been descended from them. He was said to be of partial Choctaw Native American descent.
