Jessica Chobot is an American television host, writer, and podcaster. She has hosted the programs Strategize , Daily Fix! , Attack of the Show , Nerdist News , and Nerdist News Talks Back , the podcast Bizarre States , and the reality series Expedition X .
She was partly raised in Novi, Michigan, among other places in the East Coast and Midwest. Her surname Chobot comes from a former husband. She is married to television personality Blair Herter , with whom she has a son.
She has stated that she has Polish, Czech, Lithuanian, and German ancestry.
Jessica’s paternal grandfather was James E. Horn (who likely was the son of Raymond John Horn and Genevieve Basher). James was born in New York. Raymond was born in New York, the son of Joseph J. Horn, whose parents were German, and of Elisabetha “Elizabeth” Feuerbach, whose parents were also German.
