Jimmy Rollins is an American professional baseball player. A shortstop, he played for the Philadelphia Phillies, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He won four Golden Glove Awards and one MVP-1 award. He is nicknamed “J-Roll.”

Jimmy is the son of Gigi and Jimmy Rollins. His brother, Antwon, played minor league baseball, and his sister, Shay Rollins, played college baskbetall. His cousin, Osiris Johnson, is also a professional baseball player. He is married to Johari Smith, with whom he has two children.

He is also said to be a cousin of professional baseball player Tony Tarasco.

Jimmy’s paternal grandfather was named Lawrence C. Rollins.
