Joachim Löw is a German professional footballer, and coach. An attacking midfielder, he played for SC Freiburg, VfB Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt, Karlsruher SC, FC Schaffhausen, FC Winterthur, and FC Frauenfeld, and West Germany U21. He coached FC Winterthur, in the youth division; FC Frauenfeld, VfB Stuttgart, initially as assistant, then interim, then head; Fenerbahçe, Karlsruher SC, Adanaspor, Tirol Innsbruck, Austria Wien, and the Germany national team, initially as an assistant.
Joachim is from Schönau im Schwarzwald, a town in the district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Schwarzwald is situated in the Black Forest, close to the Swiss border.
Joachim is married to Daniela. He is a Roman Catholic.
