Joanna Cameron was an American actress and model. Her roles included the films How to Commit Marriage , I Love My Wife , Pretty Maids All in a Row , and B.S. I Love You ; the shows Marcus Welby, M.D. and Isis / The Secrets of Isis ; and the made-for-tv movies The Last of the Powerseekers , The Great American Beauty Contest , A Time for Love , Sorority Kill , Night Games (1974), It Couldn’t Happen to a Nicer Guy , High Risk (1976), and Swan Song (1980).

She was the daughter of Erna Louise and Harold Kenneth “Harry” Cameron, who ran a drive-in restaurant. Her mother was born in Colorado, to ethnic German emigrants, from Russia.

Joanna’s paternal grandfather was Frederick Ogle “Fred” Cameron (the son of Jehu Morris Cameron and Nannie Olevia/Olivia Truby). Frederick was born in Eaton, Michigan, and had deep roots in the U.S. Jehu was the son of Frederick Cameron and Elizabeth Grow. Nannie was born in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John Truby and Margaret Montgomery Rugh.

Joanna’s paternal grandmother was Hazel Dorothy Jones (the daughter of Samuel Cornelius Jones and Alice May Alexander). Hazel was born in Maryville, Missouri. Samuel was the son of Richard D. Jones, who was a Welsh emigrant, from Tavodick, Caernarfonshire; and of Charlotte Permelia Holmes. Joanna’s great-grandmother Alice was the daughter of Thomas J. Alexander and Anna Mishler.

Joanna’s maternal grandfather was Jacob Henry “Jake” Borgens (the son of Heinrich “Henry” Borgens and Catharina/Katherine Margaretha/Margaret “Katy” Bostron/Bastron). Jacob was born in Saratov, Saratov Oblast, Russia, and was an ethnic German. Heinrich was born in Saratov, the son of Philipp Borgens. Catharina was born in Saratov, the daughter of Heinrich Bastron and Maria Barbara Löbsack.

Joanna’s maternal grandmother was Mollie Amelia Bauming (the daughter of Jacob Bauming and Anna Maria Fuchs). Amelia was an ethnic German emigrant, born in Odessa, Kherson, then the Russian Empire. Jacob was the son of Johann Jakob Bauming and Anna Maria Herrmann, who were from Hussenbach, Saratov. Joanna’s great-grandmother Anna was from Frank, Saratov, the daughter of Andreas Fuchs and Catherine Wolf.
