Joe Pavelski is an American professional ice hockey player. A forward, he played for the San Jose Sharks, which he also captained; Dinamo Minsk; and the Dallas Stars, which he co-captained; of the National Hockey League (NHL), and played with and captained the U.S. national team. He co-owns the Janesville Jets NAHL team. He is nicknamed “Little Joe” and “Captain America.”
His brother, Scott Pavelski, is also a hockey player. He is married to Sarah, with whom he has a son.
Joe’s paternal grandfather is James J. Pavelski (the son of Joseph Lawrence Pawelski and Ludgera Ludwikowski). Joe’s grandfather James was born in Wisconsin.
