Joe Sakic is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and executive. A centre, he played for the Quebec Nordiques and Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL), and for the Canada national team. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a player in 2012. He was nicknamed “Burnaby Joe.”
Joe is the son of Croatian parents, Slavica and Marijan Sakic. He is married to Debbie, with whom he has three children.
