Joey Heatherton is an American actress, dancer, and singer. She was a sex symbol of the 1960s and 1970s. Her roles include the films Twilight of Honor , Where Love Has Gone , My Blood Runs Cold , Bluebeard (1972), The Happy Hooker Goes to Washington , and Cry-Baby (1990), the shows The Doctors and the Nurses , I Spy , and It Takes a Thief ; and the made-for-tv movies Of Mice and Men (1968) and The Ballad of Andy Crocker .

Joey is the daughter of Davenie, a dancer, and Ray Heatherton, a vocalist and actor; her father was a Broadway star, and television pioneer and personality, who starred on the show The Merry Mailman . Her brother, Dick Heatherton, was a disc jockey. Her father was of Irish descent. Her mother was born in London, to Scottish parents.

Joey’s paternal grandfather was John J. Heathterton (the son of Patrick Heatherton and Mary Tonney). John was born in Little Falls, New Jersey, to Irish parents.
