Johnny Sexton is an Irish professional rugby union player. A fly-half, he played for Leinster and Racing 92, as well as the Ireland national team, which he also captained; and the British & Irish Lions. He is a consultant for Ireland, and was an assistant coach for the British & Irish Lions.
Johnny is the son of Clare and Jerry Sexton. His brother is professional rugby player Jerry Sexton. His uncle is professional rugby player William Sexton. He is married to Laura Priestly, with whom he has three children.
Johnny’s paternal grandfather was named John Sexton. John was from Listowel, County Kerry.
