Joko Widodo is an Indonesian politician. He was President of Indonesia, from 20 October, 2014 to 20 October, 2024. He was previously Mayor of Surakarta, from 28 July, 2005 to 1 October, 2012, and Governor of Jakarta, from 15 October, 2012 to 16 October, 2014. He is known as Jokowi.
Joko is the son of Noto Mihardjo and Sujiatmi Notomihardjo. He is married to Iriana Joko Widodo, with whom he has three children, including politician and businessperson Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and enterpreneur and YouTuber Kaesang Pangarep.
Jokowi’s maternal grandmother was named Sani Wirorejo.
