Jordy Nelson is an American professional football player. A wide receiver, he played most of his career with the Green Bay Packers, and the Oakland Raiders, of the National Football League (NFL).
Jordy is the son of Kim and Alan Nelson, farmers, who also ran a restaurant, Nelson’s Landing. He is married to Emily Rothlisberger, with whom he has three children. Jordy is a Christian.
Jordy’s paternal grandfather was Raymond Lee Nelson (the son of Elmer Raymond Nelson and Alice May Cravens). Raymond was born in Keats, Kansas. Elmer was born in Kansas, the son of Swedish parents, Frank Victor Nelson and Anna Charlotte Nilsdotter/Nilsson. Alice was born in Kansas, the daughter of Joseph Ellsworth Cravens and Emily Frances/Francis Barry.
Jordy’s paternal grandmother was Mildred Joan “Milly” Peterson (the daughter of Walter Rudolph Peterson and Ella V. Larson). Mildred was born in Leonardville, Kansas. Walter was born in Riley, Kansas, the son of a Norwegian father, Embert/Embret Embretsen/Peterson, and of a Danish mother, Ane/Anna Vilhelmine/Wilhelmina Wieder, from Maribo, Lollands. Ella was born in Kansas, the daughter of August Larson, who was Swedish, and of Augusta.
Jordy’s maternal grandfather was Fred Wohler (the son of Laurin Virgil Wohler and Stella Elizabeth Hageman). Laurin was born in Kansas, the son of Frederick/Fred Daniel Wohler, whose father was from Knetterheide, Bad Salzuflen, Lippe, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany; and of Emma Wilhelmina Eversmeyer.
