José Bautista is a Dominican Republic professional baseball player. A right fielder and third baseman, he played for the Baltimore Orioles, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the Kansas City Royals, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Toronto Blue Jays, primarily; the Atlanta Braves, the New York Mets, and the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is nicknamed “Joey Bats.”
He is the son of Sandra, an accountant and financial planner, and Americo Bautista, who ran poultry farms. His father is said to be from Spain. His brother, Luis, has also played professional baseball. José is married to Neisha Croyle, with whom he has two children.
