He is regarded as one of the greatest managers of all time. He is nicknamed “The Special One.”
José is son of Maria Júlia Carrajola dos Santos, a primary school teacher, and Félix Mourinho (José Manuel Mourinho Félix), a goalkeeper. José is Catholic. He speaks Portuguese, and varying degrees of Spanish, Italian, French, Catalan, and English. José is married to Matilde “Tami” Faria, who was born in Angola. The couple has two children.
