Juan Orlando Hernández is a Honduran politician and lawyer. He served as the 55th President of Honduras , from 27 January, 2014 to 27 January, 2022. He was also Deputy of the Lempira Department, from 25 January, 1998 to 25 January, 2014, and President of the National Congress, from 25 January, 2010 to 25 January, 2014. He is also known as JOH.
He is the son of Juan Hernández Villanueva and María Elvira Alvarado Castillo. He is a brother of agronomy engineer and politician Hilda Hernández, and lawyer, politician, and convicted drug trafficker Tony Hernández.
President Hernández is married to lawyer Ana Rosalinda García Carías, with whom he has three children.
