She is the daughter of actors Kelly Richman and Loren Lester, who voiced Robin/Nightwing on Batman: The Animated Series . Her uncle, mother’s brother, is composer and conductor Lucas Richman. Her maternal grandparents were actors Peter Mark Richman, of Dynasty and Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan ; and Helen Richman.
Julia’s paternal grandfather was Eugene Lester/Gottlieb (the son of Chaim Simcha/Samuel Gottlieb and Miriam Rachel Molowany). Eugene was born in New York.
