Justin Marks is an American screenwriter, producer, and television showrunner. He has written the films Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and The Jungle Book (2016), and the made-for-tv movie Rewind (2013). He created the series Counterpart , and co-created the series Shogun ; and showran, and wrote for, both series.
Justin is married to writer and television supervising producer Rachel Kondo, who co-created Shogun .
Justin’s paternal grandfather was Matthew J. Marks (the son of Henry M. Marks and Minnie Phillips). Justin’s grandfather Matthew was born in New York, to a Jewish family.
