Karl Malone is an American professional basketball player. A power forward, he played for the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was assistant coach for the Louisiana Tech. He is second in all time points scored, after Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He is nicknamed “the Mailman.” He is 6′9″.
Karl is the son of Shirley Ann Jackson Turner and Shedrick Hay. He is married to Kay Kinsey, who was 1988 Miss Idaho USA. He has seven children, including four with Kay.
Karl’s paternal grandfather was Dave Hay (the son of William T. Hay and Flora Mitchell).
Karl’s paternal grandmother was Sudie Malone (the daughter of Berry Malone and Cornelia Williams). Cornelia was the daughter of Scott Williams and Martha Stevens.
