Keith Larsen was an American actor, screenwriter, director, and producer. His roles included the films The Rose Bowl Story , Flat Top , Hiawatha (1952), Fort Vengeance , Son of Belle Starr , War Paint (1953), Arrow in the Dust , Security Risk (1954), Dial Red O , Chief Crazy Horse , Wichita (1955), Night Freight , Desert Sands , Last of the Badmen , Badlands of Montana , Apache Warrior , Women of the Prehistoric Planet , and The Omegans ; and the series Brave Eagle , Northwest Passage , and The Aquanauts .
Keith was the son of Valate Chrysta and Elwood Howard Burt. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Keith was married to Trang Thu Nguyen, until his death. He had one child with his former wife, German-American actress Susan Cummings; a son with his former wife, actress Vera Miles ; and one child with Trang. Keith was LDS (Mormon).
Internet claims that Keith was of Norwegian descent are not accurate.
Keith’s paternal grandfather was Andrew Dee Burt (the son of Alexander Burt and Agnes Watson). Andrew was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Scottish parents. Alexander was born in Torryburn, Fife, the son of Andrew Burt and Elizabeth Dunlop. Agnes was from Newarthill, Lanarkshire, and was the daughter of Robert Watson, Jr. and Mary Cowan.
Keith’s paternal grandmother was Kate/Katie Jane Howard (the daughter of Thomas Howard and Sarah Langley). Kate was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to English parents. Thomas was from Wooburn, Buckinghamshire, the son of Thomas Green Howard and Sarah Mackell. Keith’s great-grandmother Sarah was from Flackwell Heath, Buckinghamshire, the daughter of John Langley and Ann Salter.
Keith’s maternal grandfather was Ephraim Larsen (the son of Johannes Larsen and Ane Katrine Jørgensdatter). Ephraim was born in Spring City, Utah, the son of Danish parents. Johannes was born in Grejs, Vejle, the son of Lauritz Johansen and Ane Margrethe Sorensdatter.
