Khalid Abdalla is a British actor and activist. He is known for his roles in the films United 93 , The Kite Runner , Green Zone , Tigers , Our Kind of Traitor , and Assassin’s Creed , and on the shows Hanna , Moon Knight , and The Crown .
Khalid was born in Glasgow, and was raised in London. His parents were physicians who immigrated to the U.K. from Egypt in 1979. His father is named Hossam Abdalla. His father and grandfather were anti-Egyptian regime activists. Khalid speaks fluent English, French, and Arabic. He is a Muslim. He is married to Cressida Trew.
Khalid participated in the Arab Spring protests in Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt, in February 2011. He co-founded the Mosireen Collective to support citizen media in Egypt.
