Kiesza is a Canadian singer and multi-instrumentalist.
In an interview with Metro , Kiesza also stated that she can trace her lineage to a person who fought alongside Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn. She said:

Kiesza’s paternal grandfather was named Robert Edward Ellestad. Robert was born in Coronation, Alberta, to parents from Oppland, Norway.
Kiesza’s paternal grandmother was named Laurie Camela Smith. Laurie was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Kiesza’s maternal grandfather was named Don Douglas. Don was Scottish.
Kiesza’s maternal grandmother was Jocelyn Wooldridge (the daughter of Henry Frank Wooldridge and Elma Jeanne Rauseo). Jocelyn was born in Trinidad & Tobago.
