Kim Schrier is an American politician and physician. A member of the Democratic Party, she has served as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Washington, since January 3, 2019.
She is married to David Gowing, with whom she has a son.
Kim’s paternal grandfather was Seymour Schrier (the son of Samuel Schrier and Rikel/Rachel Scheiber/Schrieber). Seymour was born in Debica, Dębica County, Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Poland. Samuel was the son of Abraham Schreier and Celia Rosen.
Kim’s paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Bransky (the daugther of Berl/Benjamin/Bennie Bransky/Prensky and Fanny “Faiga” Katchan). Elizabeth was born in New York, to parents from Suvolk, Gebernia, Lithuania. Fanny was the daughter of Lazar Katchan and Bdona Genesha Neiman.
Kim’s maternal grandfather was Albert Levine (the son of Jacob Levine and Esther Silberman). Esther was the daughter of Leib Silberman and Baila Charnas, who were from Keidan, Lithuania.
Kim’s maternal grandmother was Syril Mildred Kopf (the daughter of Max H. Kopf and Yetta Klein).
