Klaus Kinski was a German actor. He was the son of Susanne Eva (Lutze), a nurse, and Bruno Carl Julius Nakszynski, an opera singer and pharmacist. His family moved to Berlin, Germany, in 1931. He was conscripted into the Wehrmacht in 1943, at seventeen, and served in a Fallschirmjäger unit.
Klaus had a daughter, German actress Pola Kinski, with his former wife, singer Gislinde Kühlbeck; a daughter, actress and model Nastassja Kinski , with his former wife, actress Ruth Brigitte Tocki; and a son, French-American actor Nikolai Kinski , with his former wife, model Minhoi Geneviève Loanic. Among his grandchildren are American model and actress Sonja Kinski and American fashion model Kenya Kinski-Jones , who are Nastassja’s daughters.
Klaus’s paternal grandfather was named Ferdinand Julius Nakszynski (the son of Ferdinand Nakszynski).
Klaus’s paternal grandmother was named Anna Clara Schneider (the daughter of Johann Schneider).
