Klay Thompson is an American professional basketball player. A shooting guard, he plays for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was previously with the Golden State Warriors. He is one of the record-setting Splash Brothers basketball duo, with Stephen Curry . He is 6′5″.
Klay is the son of volleyball player Julie Leslie and professional basketball player Mychal Thompson, who played with the Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, and Juvecaserta Basket. His father is African-Bahamian, and was born in Nassau. His mother is white, with Scottish and English ancestry. His older brother, Mychel Thompson, also played professional basketball, and his younger brother, Trayce Thompson, plays professional baseball.
