Lance Alworth is an American professional football player. A wide receiver, he played with the San Diego Chargers and the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1978. He was nicknamed “Bambi.”

Lance is the son of Beth and Richard R. Alworth. He was partly raised in Hog Chain, Lincoln County, Mississippi. He is married to Laura. Lance has six children. His grandson, Brian Driscoll, played college football.

Lance’s paternal grandfather was Charles Wesley Alworth (the son of Thomas J. Alworth and Ruth I. Graham).
