Larry Drake was an American actor and comedian. His roles included the films The White Lions , Darkman and its sequel Darkman II: The Return of Durant , as Robert G. Durant; Dr. Giggles , as the title character; The Journey of August King , Bean (1997), Overnight Delivery , Inferno (1999), Timequest , Pathology , and Green Lantern: First Flight , the latter in voice performance; the shows L.A. Law , Tales from the Crypt , Road Rovers , Prey , and Johnny Bravo ; the made-for-tv movies Dark Night of the Scarecrow , Too Good to Be True , Murder in New Hampshire: The Pamela Wojas Smart Story , The Beast (1996), and Gryphon ; and the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed .
Larry was the son of Lorraine Ruth and Raymond John Drake, an oil company drafting engineer.
Larry’s paternal grandfather was William/Will Griffin Drake (the son of John Griffin Drake and Permelia/Pamelia Ann/Amell Bolton). William was born in Texas. John was the son of Richard Sparks Drake and Lenora Caroline Wharton. Permelia was the daughter of Evan William “Bill” Bolton and Frances Jane Parker.
Larry’s paternal grandmother was Florence Elizabeth “Lizzie” Martin (the daughter of Benjamin Luther “Ben” Martin and Martha A. L. E. “Mattie” Cosby/Cozby). Lizzie was born in Arkansas. Benjamin was the son of James Murdock Martin and Mary Elizabeth Smithey. Mattie was the daughter of George W. Crosby and Margaret Livingston.
