Lauren Conrad is an American television personality, fashion designer, and author. She starred on reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and the spin-off The Hills . She is also a fashion designer, and appeared as a judge on Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model .
Lauren is the daughter of Kathy and Jim Conrad, an architect. Her sister is television personality Breanna Conrad. She is married to rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist William Tell, of piano-rock band Something Corporate, with whom she has two children.
Lauren’s paternal grandfather was James Edward Conrad (the son of Robert Alvah Conrad and Carrie Castle Swink). James was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and had deep roots in the U.S. Robert was the son of Robert Edward Conrad and Elizabeth B. Kidd. Carrie was the daughter of George Thomas Swink and Jennette Ethel Allen.
Lauren’s paternal grandmother was Gladys Eugene Miller (the daughter of Buford William Miller and Ruby Mae Brown). Gladys was born in Chester, South Carolina, and had deep American roots. Buford was the son of William Clifton Miller and Mary Fincannon. Ruby was the daughter of Realis Lonzo Brown and Bertha Shallotta Wilson.
Lauren’s maternal grandfather was Donald Joseph Lawrence (the son of Joseph George Lawrence and Katherine Housler). Donald was born in Manhattan, New York.
