Lauren Tsai is an American illustrator, model, and actress. Her roles include the shows Terrace House: Aloha State and Legion , the film Moxie , and the video game Death Stranding 2: On the Beach . She directed the music video for “Cool About It.”
Her uncle is restaurateur, television personality, celebrity chef, and professional squash player Ming Tsai. Her father’s ancestors left Taiwan after escaping China during the Cultural Revolution.
Lauren was partly raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She also spent some time in Hiroshima, and learned to speak Japanese.
Lauren’s paternal grandfather is named Stephen W. Tsai.
Lauren’s paternal grandmother is named Iris. Iris is a restaurateur. One of Lauren’s great-grandfathers is Chinese composer Lee Pao-Chen.
