Liam Payne was an English singer, songwriter, and producer. He was a member of boy band One Direction, along with Niall Horan , Zayn Malik , Harry Styles , and Louis Tomlinson . He had appeared on The X Factor in 2008 and 2010, and was put in One Direction, with other contestants from the show. His solo songs included “Strip That Down,” “For You,” and “Teardrops.” He featured in the films One Direction: This Is Us and One Direction: Where We Are – The Concert Film . He was nicknamed Payno.
Liam was the son of Karen J., an infant nurse, and Geoffrey R. Payne, a fitter. All of his great-grandfathers worked on the railways. Liam had a son with his former partner, television personality, musician, singer, and dancer Cheryl .
Liam’s patrilineal line appears to trace to George Wade Josiah Payne, who was born, c. 1799, in Lambeth, London.
Liam’s paternal grandfather was Kenneth E. Payne (the son of Thomas William Payne and Rosina Biddulph). Kenneth was born in Birmingham South, Warwickshire, England. Thomas was the son of Thomas Payne and Agness/Agnes Reed. Rosina was the daughter of Walter Biddulph and Mary Ann Hopkins/Botterill.
