Lillo Brancato is an American actor. His roles include the films A Bronx Tale , Renaissance Man , Crimson Tide , Provocateur , The Florentine , Blue Moon (2000), Sticks , ‘R Xmas , Downtown: A Street Tale , Slingshot (2005), and Saturday Mornin (2007); the made-for-tv movie Firehouse , and the series The Sopranos .
Lillo was born in Bogotá, Colombia as Saúl Rodríguez. He was adopted as an infant and renamed Lillo Brancato, Jr. His adoptive parents, Domenica Longobucco, an electrolysist, and Lillo Brancato, a construction worker, were Italian emigrants to New York. Lillo was born in Sicily. Domenica was born in Calabria. He was raised in Yonkers, New York. He has stated , “I consider myself Italian. I was raised to eat pasta.”
In 2008, he was found guilty of first-degree attempted burglary, and not guilty of second-degree murder.
