Lisa Cholodenko is an American screenwriter and film director. She has directed the films High Art , Laurel Canyon , Cavedweller , and The Kids Are All Right . She wrote her first two films, and co-wrote her fourth film. She has also directed the mini-series Olive Kitteridge , and episodes of the shows Here and Now and Unbelievable .
Lisa is the daughter of Marcia and Paul Cholodenko. She has a son with her partner, musician Wendy Melvoin.
