Liz Sheridan was an American actress and dancer. She was known for her roles on the shows ALF and Seinfeld , as Jerry’s mother.
She was the daughter of concert singer Elizabeth Poole-Jones and classical pianist Frank Sheridan. Her mother was born in Pennsylvania, to English parents. Liz was raised in Westchester County, New York. She was nicknamed “Dizzy.” Liz was married to jazz musician Dale Wales, until his death. The couple had a daughter, Stephanie, a photographer.
Liz’s paternal grandfather was Francis/Frank M. Sheridan (the son of Peter Sheridan and Rosa Casey). Francis was born in New York. Peter was Irish. Rosa was the daughter of Irish parents.
