Liz Truss is an English politician. She served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom , from 6 September, 2022 to 25 October, 2022. She is the daughter of Priscilla Mary, a nurse, teacher, and anti-nuclear activist, and John Kenneth Truss, an emeritus professor of pure mathematics. Her family moved to Scotland when she was four, living in Paisley, Renfrewshire, and later to Roundhay, Leeds, England; as well as spending a year in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
Prime Minister Truss is married to accountant Hugh O’Leary, with whom she has two children.
Prime Minister Truss’s paternal grandfather was Clifford Owers Truss (the son of Sydney Horace Truss and Emily Annie Owers). Clifford was born in Hendon, Middlesex, England. Sydney was the son of Charles Truss and Emily Drewett. Prime Minister Truss’s great-grandmother Emily was the daughter of Charles Henry Owers and Emily Ann Cotsford.
