Loyle Carner is a British hip hop musician.

His father, a musician, is Guyanese. His mother, a teacher of children with learning difficulties, is of Scottish and English descent. He was raised by his mother and stepfather. His stage name is a spoonerism of his double-barrelled surname. Loyle has two children. He runs a cooking school for children with ADHD, called Chilli Con Carner.

Loyle’s maternal grandfather was named William P. “Bill” Coyle-Larner. William was born in Glasgow, Scotland.

Loyle’s maternal grandmother was Florence R. O’Harro (the daughter of William O’Harro and Florence E. Latter). Loyle’s grandmother Florence was born in London, England.
