His father, Eugenio Marinelli (Eugenio Nicola Marinelli), is a dubber. His aunt, Sonia Scotti (born as Sonia Giulia Marinelli), is the Italian dubber of Whoopi Goldberg and Judi Dench. Luca is a cousin of stage actor and playwright Mario Alessandro Paolelli and dubber Rachele Paolelli. His father’s family is from Bari, Apulia.
