Luke Halpin is an American actor, stuntperson, marine coordinator, diver, and pilot. He starred in the Flipper franchise in the 1960s, headlining the cinematic Flipper and Flipper’s New Adventure and the Flipper series, and later making a cameo in the film Flipper (1996). He has also had roles in the films Island of the Lost , If It’s Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium , Shock Waves , and Mr. No Legs .

Luke is the son of Helen and Eugene Halpin. He was raised in Long Island City, in Queens. He is married to Deborah Durrell. He has two children with his former wife Judy Meyer; and one child with Deborah.

Luke’s paternal grandfather was Luke A. Halpin (the son of Owen Halpin and Mary Elizabeth Millar/Miller). Luke’s grandfather Luke was born in New York, to Irish parents. Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of Denis Millar and Ellen Creigh, who lived in County Clare.

Luke’s paternal grandmother was Adeline/Adelaide T. Blessinger (the daughter of Martin Blessinger and Adeline/Adaline Fisher). Luke’s grandmother Adeline was born in New York. Martin’s parents were German. Luke’s great-grandmother Adeline was also the daughter of German parents, with her father’s name having been John Fisher.
