Luke Macfarlane is a Canadian-American actor and singer. He has starred on the series Over There , Brothers & Sisters , Smash , Satisfaction , The Night Shift , Supergirl , Killjoys , Mercy Street , Platonic , and Invincible , the latter in voice performance; in many Hallmark productions; in the mini-series Tanner on Tanner and Iron Road ; in the films Trapped Ashes , Rock, Paper, Scissors ; Single All the Way , and Bros (2022); and in the music video for “Love’s Divine.”
He is the son of Penny, a mental health nurse, and Thomas William Robert Macfarlane, who worked at University of Western Ontario. He has a daughter with his partner, American alpine skier Hig Roberts. Luke became a U.S. citizen in 2018.
Luke’s paternal grandfather was named Thomas Macfarlane (the son of Thomas Macfarlane).
Luke’s paternal grandmother was Jean Bernice Moir (the daughter of Andrew Jackson Moir and Charlotte M. Beaupit). Jean was born in York, Toronto, Ontario.
