Luke Voit is an American professional baseball player. A first baseman, he plays for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of the Nippon Professional Baseball’s Pacific League. He was previously with the St. Louis Cardinals, the New York Yankees, the San Diego Padres, the Washington Nationals, and the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB).

His brother, John Voit, has played professional football. He has a daughter with his fiancée Victoria Rigman.

Luke’s paternal grandfather was Louis Linwood Voit (the son of Frederick Louis Voit and Gertrude B. Peters). Frederick was born in Maryland, to an Austrian-born father and a German-born mother. Gertrude’s mother was born in Hamburg, Germany.
